Brooder Lamp
Brooder Lamp
The Brooder Lamp is a heavy duty clamp-style heat lamp designed to help provide supplemental warmth for baby chicks and young poultry in the brooder. It features a strong steel clamp that makes it easier to attach, adjust, and position the lamp as needed.
This brooder lamp is designed to handle up to a 300-watt bulb and includes a heavy duty porcelain socket, burn guard, adjustable clamp, 6-foot cord, and a 10 1/2-inch aluminum heat reflector.
A dependable heat source is one of the most important parts of a brooder setup, especially before chicks arrive.
Product Features
This Brooder Lamp includes:
Heavy duty steel clamp
Adjustable clamp for attachment and positioning
Heavy duty porcelain socket
Designed to handle up to a 300-watt bulb
Burn guard
Heavy duty 6-foot cord
10 1/2-inch aluminum heat reflector
These features make it a practical brooder supply for customers preparing for baby chicks, ducklings, poults, or other young poultry.
Helps Adjust Brooder Temperature
The adjustable clamp makes it easier to position the lamp so customers can manage brooder temperature. Raising or lowering the lamp can help adjust the amount of heat reaching the chicks.
Chicks need enough warmth to stay comfortable, but they also need room to move away from the heat if they get too warm. For that reason, the brooder should have both a warmer area and a cooler area.
Always monitor chick behavior. If chicks crowd tightly under the lamp, they may be too cold. If they move far away from the heat and pant, they may be too warm.
Heavy Duty Porcelain Socket
This lamp includes a heavy duty porcelain socket designed for high-heat use. Because brooder lamps are used with heat bulbs, a durable socket matters.
Customers should always use the correct bulb type and wattage for their brooder setup and never exceed the lamp’s rating.
This brooder lamp is designed to handle up to a 300-watt bulb.
Aluminum Heat Reflector
The 10 1/2-inch aluminum heat reflector helps direct warmth downward into the brooder area. This helps focus the heat where chicks need it most.
Proper placement is important. The reflector should be positioned securely and safely, away from flammable materials and where it cannot fall into the brooder.
Burn Guard and Safety Reminder
The Brooder Lamp includes a burn guard. Even with a guard, heat lamps should always be used carefully.
For safer use:
Secure the clamp firmly
Use an additional safety chain or backup support when possible
Keep the lamp away from bedding and flammable materials
Do not allow the lamp to fall into the brooder
Check the cord and socket before use
Use the correct bulb wattage
Monitor brooder temperature often
Keep waterers positioned so they cannot splash the lamp
Never leave an unsafe setup unattended
Heat lamps can become very hot, so customers should install and monitor them with care.
Brooder Supply Reminder
Important: Orders for brooder supplies do not ship with your chicks.
Brooder supplies need to be ordered ahead of time so your setup is ready before the chicks arrive. Baby chicks need warmth, feed, water, bedding, and a secure brooder from the moment they are placed inside.
Ordering supplies early helps prevent last-minute problems and gives chicks a safer, more comfortable start.
