Cackle Hatchery® does not guarantee specific breeds, colors, or varieties in this package. Cackle Hatchery® also does not take requests for which female chicks will be sent.
The surprise is part of the fun.
Cackle Hatchery® does its best to include a mix of basic breeds and some different or more expensive breeds when available. However, the final assortment depends on hatch availability.
Important Breed and Color Notice
Cackle Hatchery® does not tell customers what color type or breed was sent in this package.
Cackle Hatchery® also does not keep records of what breeds were sent in individual Crazy Chicken Lady Starter Kit orders.
Customers should choose this special only if they are comfortable receiving a surprise assortment of female baby chicks selected by the hatchery.
If you need a specific breed, color, egg color, size, temperament, or production goal, ordering individual breeds may be a better choice.
Female Chick Sexing Notice
This starter kit includes female baby chicks. However, gender determination is not a perfect science.
Female baby chick sexing is generally about 90% accurate.
Cackle Hatchery® offers this kit with Female Baby Chick Sexing Guaranteed 90%. Customers should understand that an occasional male chick may occur because sexing baby chicks can never be 100% guaranteed.

Crazy Chicken Lady Starter Kit vs Ordering Individual Breeds
Choose the Crazy Chicken Lady Starter Kit if you want a fun assortment and do not need to pick the exact breeds.
Choose individual breeds if you want control over feather color, egg color, temperament, size, production type, or breed history.
The starter kit is best for customers who enjoy surprise and variety. Individual breed orders are better for customers with a specific flock plan.
Crazy Chicken Lady Starter Kit vs Bargain Specials

Cackle’s Bargain Specials may include other value-focused poultry options depending on availability.

Chick Care After Arrival
Before your chicks arrive, prepare a warm, clean, and safe brooder.
A good chick setup should include:
A secure brooder
A proper heat source
Clean drinking water
Chick starter feed
Dry bedding
Enough room for chicks to move away from heat
Protection from drafts, pets, and predators
A feeder and waterer sized for baby chicks
Check chicks often during the first few days. Make sure they are eating, drinking, staying warm, and moving comfortably around the brooder.
Because this kit includes an assortment, chicks may vary in size, feather color, and growth rate. Watch the group closely and make sure every chick can reach feed and water.
